Monroe School Information
Monroe schools system is similar to other semi-rural communities in Georgia. In rural communities where there is a wide diversity of affluence as well as relatively small sample size, it's increasingly difficult to score well on online portal information. Should 270 students graduate and go on to ivy league schools but 30 drop out and work, the school will be flagged as a 10% drop out rate. Whe reading school ratings, keep this in mind.

Parks & Things To Do In Monroe
Are you a cowboy or a cowgirl at heart? One of the most important aspects to mention about Monroe is their agricultural center. The Ag Center is situated on more than nine acres, featuring a metal building, offices, a mezzanine, and a covered show area. It also hosts an outdoor horse riding ring and plenty of parking for their events.
If you want to enjoy a sports game or your kids play intramural sports through the county, you may be spending a lot of time at one of their many local parks. Monroe is home to a variety of parks that feature different types of sports fields ranging from softball and baseball to tennis courts and soccer fields.
Many of these parks have basic amenities including seating and restrooms, as well as plenty of land for the kids to play on. You may consider visiting one of these centers:
- Coker Park
- Criswell Park
- Felker Park
- Hammond Park
- Kidd Park
Other parks are geared more toward leisure time, with wide open areas and stunning scenery. For example, Mathews Park holds a three-acre lake, extensive trails, and a playground for the younger children. During the spring season, Mathews Park also hosts the annual Fishing Derby to kick off the official fishing season.
Children may also enjoy playing on the playground at Pilot Park with their colorful jungle gym, swing sets, and peaceful benches. This is a tiny park geared more for little tots than older kids, but it could still be a great location for a weekend picnic in the beautiful Georgia weather.
